May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Scott D. Clary @scottdclary Comfort breeds complacency. Discomfort fuels growth. Seek challenges, not comfort zones. Expand into your potential.'

Ever sat in a really uncomfortable chair?

It nudges you, pushes you, makes you shift and adapt.

Now, let's talk business.

Comfort breeds complacency.

When everything's smooth, you relax. You follow the pattern. You become the pattern.

Then, growth stalls.

Ever wondered why startups outpace giants?

They’re uncomfortable. They have to be.

Discomfort fuels growth.

Blockbuster was comfy in its brick-and-mortar stores. Netflix wasn't. It was hungry, shifting, adapting.

What happened? Netflix grew. Blockbuster didn't.

Think about the time you learned the most. Was it easy? Or was it hard, challenging, uncomfortable?

You grew, didn't you?

That's the magic.

Seek challenges, not comfort zones.

Don’t just stay in your lane. Switch lanes. Drive on the bumpy roads.

Ask Kodak about sticking to comfort zones. Where are they now?

Remember Michael Jordan? The basketball legend didn't just play. He challenged himself.

He stepped out of his comfort zone. And he won.

Challenges shape you. Comfort zones merely hold you.

"The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible." — Arthur C. Clarke.

Want to grow your business? Your skills? Yourself?

Get uncomfortable.

Challenge the norms. Ask why. Then ask why not.

Choose the path that's tough. That’s where growth happens.

Your potential isn't in the comfort of the known.

Expand into your potential.

It’s in the discomfort of the unknown.

Don’t avoid the uncomfortable chair.

Sit in it.

Learn from it.

Grow.
